Breathing Poem by Andrew Rose

Breathing

Silence seems too loud for me,
I need something quieter so I can breathe,
When the whole world lays dead,
And I am left
That breath will finally grace my chest,

Nothing more is expected
No success,
No failure…
Just me breathing

And worlds will chase each other across my mind,
Each one ending without the help of time,
Ill live where the gods come to pray,
And watch from earth as they begin to play,

Ill stand alone,
No one else,
No one to judge,
Or blame
But myself,

And as the continents finally meet,
Ill walk again and create another two feet,
The silence slowly fading,
With the deafening drums,

Untill someone else needs to breathe
In the silence to come
