Brain ~ please remember
There is no right leg there,
So why Brain do I feel it?
Why are you not aware?

Amputated at the end of January
In the year two thousand and fourteen,
Brain ~ I remember it,
For I was awake at the scene.

Why the discomfort ~
Have I felt today?
When Brain ~ you do know
That I shall not complain.

LORD ~ YOU promised to heal me
If I kept my Faith in YOU,
So why cause me discomfort,
When I wish to praise YOU?

Let me have some sleep now,
Let me awake refreshed,
Writing more poetry,
When I have washed and dressed.
