Boxing Day 2008 Poem by Alistair Graham

Boxing Day 2008

There's considerable chat
from the birds out the back
up high

They don't care that today
massive sales give away
things cheap

They store nothing in barns
and come to no harm yet
progress

With no boom and no bust
living simply on trust
they soar

In their year of seasons
they've very few reasons
to fuss
