Bless Me Poem by Neela Nath Das

Bless Me

Bless me O goddess of all
creative arts.
Make me your instrument
to play upon my heart.
I want to be the string
of your hand's Veena,
or the swan at your pure feet.
Bless and save me from sheer mire!

Ma'am, you are absolutely right. At first I wrote Veena, then changed, considering global aspect of this site.Well, I must take your advice. Thanks a lot.

I could well understand you were referring to Goddess Saraswati and instead of Veena you have anglicized it to the lyre! And when I read the notes I got it confirmed! .A nice poem invoking Goddess Saraswathi! Wonderful!
