Beyond The Bounds Of Time
 Poem by Ronald Chapman

Beyond The Bounds Of Time

Walking through a pine forest,
A fresh wind showing me the way,
Times past, so long ago.

Dreams beyond the bounds of time,
Guiding my way today,
Old friends so far away, so long ago.

Am I just dreaming?
Waking up together on a bright summer morning with my wife,
Talking about dreams, as we walk holding hands to the edge of a rippling pond.
How many children will we have?

Kissing under a full moon on a warm summer night.
We were both, enjoying the magic,
These days and nights of dreams from another time,
Another place,
Guiding me, through my lonely days.

Am I only dreaming?
Waking up on a bright summer morning alone,
Looking for her in the bright daylight,

She has gone home, To a place,
Beyond the bounds of time,
Where I can only follow her, in my dreams.
