Better Days Are Coming. Poem by Emma Jane Rae

Better Days Are Coming.

Spring has finally sprung,
Along with new life
That has begun
Baby chicks
And fluffy little sheep
And the hibernators
Awake from their sleep
With flowers so bright
And blossom on the trees
The beautiful sound
Of the birds and the bees
And finally we feel
The sun on our skin
We reminisce
On how long winter has been
Everyone seems happier
Smiling here and there
Disregarded umbrellas
And the coats we used to wear
Sun cream reminders
Sun hats to stop the burning Sun
And we can relax
Because the world reunites as one
Swimming pool parties
The smells of a BBQ
Beautiful bright colours
No longer feeling blue
Sounds of laughter
As children cheer
We are so happy
That's summers near here! !
