Ben's Snooze Views Poem by Ima Ryma

Ben's Snooze Views

Ben Franklin, an insomniac,
Essayed a list of what to do.
First, get out of bed, and then whack
Your pillow, and then kick it too.
Take off your p.j.s and shake well.
Open the bed and let it cool,
And remain naked for a spell
In your bed chamber, perhaps you'll
Sit in a chair and read a book.
Wait until unpleasantly cold,
Then put on the p.j.s you shook,
Then back into your bed be rolled.

We try to sleep, but sometimes not
When the body is just too hot.
