Ave Gladiator Poem by Deetya Sri

Ave Gladiator

Rating: 5.0

There was a gladiator and he just long to be
a roman gladiator fighting to be free
he made himself a hat that was made of tin
then made a little sword very long and thin
he entered the arena ready to begin
looking for a fight hoping he could win
then began the battle the crowd began to roar
The gladiator he had won and the crowd all yelled for more
'Ave Gladiator! '
'All hail the Gladiator'
'Ave Gladiator! '
'All hail the Gladiator'
Ave Gladiator Ceasar shouted
then the gladiator was quite shrouded

Nowadays the massed spectators
See the unaccustomed sight --
Legislative gladiators
Marching to their last great fight;
Young and old, obscure and famous,
Hand to hand and knee to knee --
Hear the war-cry, 'Salutamus
morituri te! '

But then in a while
A gladiator came with a smile
The crowds began to yell
'WOW, a gladiator rebel! '
'Ave Gladiator'
'Aye Gladiators'
'Ave Gladiators'
Aye Gladiators
