At Cool Place Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

At Cool Place

Rating: 5.0

From the day one I realized
How the life was to be obliged
I was getting restless to know
About the life's goal and aim to go

I could see father sharing full burden
The mother was sharing too with concern
We were really their main worry
They wanted to fulfill it and carry

Sometimes father used to breathe heavily
Struggle hard to wipe out swat drops on the forehead wryly
I was little boy to understand all such efforts
But I tried to know why people called "Ship and port"

I was their hope to carry it further
I was their eye and supposed to carry it in future
Life was such nice gift from an almighty
It was to die for others for simple beauty

Had it not been the case?
Father would have been resting at cool place
Mother could have been sleeping well
Such things were seen and certainly felt

I was getting younger
With so much to learn and offer
Life now seemed to me as challenge
With advancement of an age, it was to be managed
