As You Open Your Eyes Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

As You Open Your Eyes

Rating: 5.0

A-s you open your eyes,
N-ight cold chill is over;
A-pril thirtieth daybreak makes you feel warm and better.

M-ist, haze, and shadows
A-re nowhere to be seen;
R-ainy evening has turned
I-nto sunshine and
E-asterly wind.

J-ust as you open your eyes,
O-ne new morn is rising;
L-onely darkness has turned
I-nto dawn brightly shining.
P-ale twilight passes from view,
A-fter the forlorn dusk dies;
S-ee the beautiful scene, as you open your eyes.
