Andamans My Native Place

ANDAMANS MY NATIVE PLACE

These islands aresituated in Bay of Bengal
Far away from mainland in the lap of sea

My native place is the cradleof harmony
Peace, tolerance and love for fellow humans

All religionsbe it Hinduism Islam, Christianity
All exist inharmony; intoleranceis alien there

My native palce is thedream landof Gandhi, Nehru, Maulana Azad
Old inhabitantswere freedom fighters from different part of theunited India

Free fromcommunal poisonintolerance caste and sects
And discrimination of any types. This isthe land ofmartyers

During 2nd worldwar our ancestorswere subjected to Japanese's horror
Among othersmy maternal and paternal grandfathers were killed by Japanese.

But for Hiroshima bombingI would not been born.Because Japanese would have
killed my father as well. Our debt of gratitudetoHarry S. Truman U.S. President.

Beauty of these islands beyond description, symbolic of paradise on earth
Beautiful beaches, inspirational sea waves, lush green plantations
Clean environment free from pollution is not less a heaven for tourists

When I think of my schooldays, teachers , friends and those row of bigs trees
Under its shades we all friends used toplay and learned lession of tolerance
If any one wants to experience harmony, brotherhood and fellow leeling, must visitAndamans

Sea waves have always been my inspiration inmy struggles in life
These waves have had great impact on mesince mychildhood

Have beenthe force in my fights from obsecurity to corporate world in mainland
Though I am away from my native placesince long but she remains always within me
