And All Churches' Doors Were Closed Poem by Hebert Logerie

And All Churches' Doors Were Closed

It was Saturday for the Adventists
And all churches' doors were closed
It was Sunday for the Catholics
And all churches' doors were closed
The bells rung and all stayed home
The world was in quarantine at home.

It was Saturday for the Jews
And all synagogues' doors were shut
It was Sundays for the Buddhists
And all temples' doors were shut
The bells rung and all stayed home
The world was in quarantine at home.

The mosques' doors were closed too
No schools, no clubs, no parks… no clue
We didn't know what to say and to do
All doors were shut. There was a curfew
The bells rung and all stayed home
The world was in quarantine at home.
