An Inevitable End Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

An Inevitable End

I lead fake life
Still refuse to share with wife
Life so untruthful
But I present it as successful

The breathe is not in my control
The death is sign of permanent fall
I know nothing about tomorrow
Still I unethically follow

I have enough of treasure
To last for many more years
But I have no peace of mind
As if I have gone blind

I am involved in mad chase
This is critical phase
I restlessly face
The competition and race

Why have I tuned against nature?
When whole of future lies there
What shall we do with barren land?
When whole of people shall be no friends

Now it is too late
To reiterate
An amend
It seems an inevitable end
