Agnostic Poem by Sheldon Carruthers

Agnostic

Rating: 5.0

Is there a God?
I journey into the Mind the Spirit the Soul
and what is my calling I have none
the path is perfection dawning as the sun
I ask the question is there a God?
my life has no meaning yet its just begun

the path is perfection dawning as the sun we find meaning only in God as long as we live here on earth. that is my experience...... thank you my dear poet. tony

your message is not clear to me..........sorry. i am an agnostic of the atheistic persuasion, but i used to believe in God and could believe in her again if i felt i was presented with some proof. but i can't imagine what that proof would be, short of feeling i was dead and confronting a st. peter figure at some pearly gates.

All we can have is either questions, or blind faith. I rather live in a world where I can admit I really don't know. I will be always be agnostic for this reason alone. Indeed you described the dilemma, quite superbly. Purpose is not faith, but life its self. Because it is so precious. We are all lucky to exist at all. And I try to live that way. We represent a rarity of the stars. We must set the example for others to hopefully follow. We will get lost at times, and that is where faith comes in. If we have hope and faith maybe we will make back to the right path, what ever that means for us. As individuals it always different. Great thought provoking poem.
