Advice To The Fire In My Ire Poem by John Sensele

Advice To The Fire In My Ire

Rating: 5.0

Counterproductive to make my world cold
No matter how much I feel bold
Trashing established order
Crushing my peace to sow seeds of disorder

From which I stand to reap pain
Even if in disappointment I fly to Spain
In a vain effort to seek solace
In the arms of a luscious lass

While my world hurts at the seams
As detractors and subtractors grow teams
To destabilize my mind
If in anger I go blind

Tearing to pieces
Peace of mind creases and interstices
I ought to contain
If sanity in full I should hope to retain and maintain.
