Addiction

I cannot remember how i got here
It started off as experimentation
Curiosity driving the need to try
Rather than the need driving the tryst
A few words
It felt good
A few lines mashed up
And lo!
Images of a parallel existence emerged
Creating squirts of serotonin
Endorphins sending me to ecstatic pleasure

As with fixes
i needed more and more and more
and before i knew it
my very existence seemed to depend on it.
Now a day or so without words
arranged in certain psychedelic patterns
leaves me wasted
unable to move
groove
mood only improves
with a poem
