Adam Poem by tharindra galahena

Adam

On the day, which the God created Adam,
Adam screamed in agony.

“Why am I here?
My feet can’t bear the weight of my body!
My eyes ache because of the light!
Happiness is always haunted by fear!
Sadness never stop screaming!
I’m afraid of death when living itself is pain.
I’m not perfect anymore,
Like the nothingness I came from.”

Since then, the man started to rebel against God.
