I saw a touch of fall today.
It was the morning when I walked.
The coming season to me talked.
The turning trees along the way,
Were not quite turning yet, but I
Expect to see it by and by.
The sky was cloudy, heavy, gray.
As I walked on I heard a word.
It was a bird, but that's absurd.
For birds a word they cannot say,
But in my fancy on my walk,
Imagined I the bird did talk.
A sweet, soothing poem! 10/10. Thanks for drawing our attention to the impending change of season and reminding us to take a break and go out for a leisurely walk. Yes, I'll do that tomorrow morning. I have a new poem on the pleasures of watching a bird building its nest and the accompanying thoughts around it. If possible, please do read this.
So beautiful, soothing to spirit. the last line suits it well Imagined I the bird did talk, and nature at it's finest. Yes I do, I always do walk and enjoy everything around me, So uplifting to our senses. This is simply the best.
Thanks for visiting and your comments, Roseann. Will read one of your poems.
Totally enjoy nature, write about it often. I go camping just to be enveloped in nature's beauty, it recharges my batteries within, so I can handle being out in the world of people. Thank you for reading and commenting on my poem, A Child's Death. Appreciate your comments. RoseAnn
Hi Patricia. Yes, I agree: birds talk in their own little way :) Thanks for reading.
Yes nature does speak to us in many ways. I have taken strolls through the woods and hear the birds chirping. This is their way of communing with other species and with nature. Birds talk in their on little way. Enjoyed.
@Khairul Ahsan Thanks for reading. Yes, it's coming. Fall. Yay! Can hardly wait! I love birds too, and will read your poem.758

you pour it out so simply, Sandy, yet rivetingly, like the morning's cup of tea!
