A Rural Home, A Chinese Poem Of Mei Yaochen In Translation

The rooster crows three times
the sky is almost bright
someone is fixing a bowl of rice
with a bottle of tea
the peasants are in hurry
to plough their fields early
and I go by the window, pull up the curtains
and look up for morning stars in the sky

-rendered from a literal translation on web pages:

Chicken crow three sound sky almost bright
Someone row rice bowl with tea bottle
Common people still fear hurry plough early
Self pull wicker window look morning star
