Gather 'round, Children, and Bri shall tell you a tale...
about a cat which, since birth, had no hair on its tail.
Oh, it HAD a tail, but it was a tail like that on a snake,
and no hair did the cat's tail have, but still it did shake.
Yes, the cat could shake its tail, though it had no hair,
and shake it the cat DID, at which people did STARE.
They thought: 'A cat with a tail that looks like a snake! '
And they thought, 'Look at that cat, for goodness' sake! ! '
The Cat's 'tail' had no hair. It was covered with scales.
Scales cover a snake, & look like tiny human fingernails.
There are lots of scales. They are small, smooth, & shiny.
The cat's were pink, not like the cat's hairs (white) , & tiny.
Imagine having a cat, mostly White, with a shiny PINK tail! ! !
If you had LOTS of money, you'd not find ONE for sale,
.....UNLESS a cat tail's hair was dyed, but still was HAIR.
I think a cat with a snake's tail would, some people, scare!
A cat tail like THAT would also, for some, be a 'puzzle',
like a big blue moustache growing from a dog's muzzle.
Scientists and newspeople would surround them in a whirl,
as would happen if one found horns on head of a squirrel.
WHO owned the Cat? Do you think you can guess? Is it YOU?
Does it belong to a girl, boy, woman, man, or to TWO?
To your parents, an aunt & uncle, to grandparents, so OLD?
Did the cat have NO owner, .....and lived alone, so BOLD!
Would YOU love the cat, pet it, and teach it fo be BRAVE?
Would YOU be its best friend and teach it to BEHAVE? ?
Do YOU think maybe I made up this story in my HEAD? ?
Don't doubt me, but make up YOUR own ending INSTEAD! ! !

Bri my friend, you have the gift of making good sense from little things with lots of good humour. A beautiful poem worth reading many times.
[[ CONT. ]] **** 'woe is me interjection Used to show that the speaker feels distress or misery; often used humorously.'
READERS, MY POEM IS LONGER NOW AND COMPLETE, BUT.................PH IS 'TAKING ITS TIME' OR....SOMETHING ELSE IS KEEPING ME FROM SUCCESSFULLY EDITING THE POEM TO ADD THE REST OF THE STANZAS. 'WOE IS ME! ' ****...AND MAYBE SOME OF YOU? ? ? bri ;) [[ CONT. ]])
Hope it ends well for the cat. My poems about cats never end well—for the cat!

I would like to translate this poem
Nice try, Bri, but better luck next time. This poem has no meter, but it DOES have RHYME!
