A Questionnare. Poem by Hikaru Etanaru

A Questionnare.

when all has been said and done
when blood's spilt, set has the sun
when darkness residing in hearts won
when the bullet's been fired from the gun

when the dead finally hits the ground
when the animal inside is finally unbound
when hope's been lost, never to be found
when hatred spins round-n-round

when the children's been orphaned and killed
when unnamed graves been dug and filled
when the light's been broken too far to rebuild
when childhood is lost and unfulfilled

when the blood finally loses its worth
when hatred of one, to another, gives birth
let me ask you this,

Do you remember,
The warmth of the sun
The sound of laughter n fun
The smell of freshly baked bun
The smile of a young innocent nun

If you do the let's stop this fight
If you do then let's end this night
for the time has come for daylight
for the time has come to shine bright
let's paint those blooded streets white.
