A Poets Pencil Poem by Ronald Strickland

A Poets Pencil

When a poet's mind roams, His pencil begins to scroll.
it maybe about teardrops that flow from when a hearts are broken, when a child laughs, dances, the rise of the moon or the setting of the sun.

When the pencil scrolls you have to know his words come from the soul.

the pencil scrolls about life, love that have gone by and thoughts the past left behind, or wars and wars yet to come.

Thoughts in the mind of a poet, the mind has the pencil in control and the pencil scrolls.

If a poet you may know, words of your kindness, giving the poet thoughts of you that had his pencil to scroll. maybe it was you that gave a poet the words of a poem for his pencil to scroll.
