A Poem On Being Smart Poem by Dr John Celes

A Poem On Being Smart

Rating: 5.0

Smart cities aren’t a country’s primal need;
Existing cities must be made better;
Smart citizens, bureaucrats, we want;
Smart youth, professionals and leaders must guide.

You cannot be smart with Mother Nature;
She wins even in her furies always;
You can’t be smarter than your Creator;
But you can harness Nature to serve you.

Whatever Nature does is most perfect;
Whatever man does brings problems galore;
You must be Nature-friendly in life;
You cannot alienate God’s instrument.

Preserve Nature and learn her secrets well;
Nature has her own checks and balances;
Nature springs her surprises endlessly;
Man just may control her to some extent.

None makes an atom, molecule from naught;
No one can bestow life to lifeless forms;
Man is a creature and pro-creator;
God is the Master sole of universe.

Plan your works therefore with wisdom and act;
Do just those things that better human life;
More luxury affects health in the end;
Spirituality gives health to soul, body.

A godless society can’t survive then;
A thankless generation invokes curse;
A terrorist group cannot save their souls;
Evil-minds will get wiped out pretty fast.

Goodness prevails over evil always;
Good minds and hearts keep world going on well;
Light dispels darkness anywhere – a fact;
Much warmth is needed if life must survive.

The Creator will guide our destiny;
His wisdom is eternal, ultimate;
God is the healer true of minds, hearts, souls;
Without God, mankind is doomed upon earth.

The earth is one where human race can live;
Space study may not help earth’s development;
Earth has to be made more hospitable to life;
Heaven must replace traces of hell here.

Life’s basic amenities is man’s right;
Every citizen is a global one;
Race, color, creed, caste are unimportant;
Human life is same everywhere on earth.

Man wastes resources and time in much ways;
For fear of subjugation, stocks weapons;
Unfounded panic drives him on to wars;
Lack of brotherhood, love makes man insane.

A god-centered society will not hurt;
A peaceful clan will not evoke hatred;
God’s hand protects a tolerant people;
Intolerance can’t bear good fruits at all;

Live and permit others to live in peace;
Help the poor and down-trodden when you can;
Lies and cheating cannot win forever;
Innocent blood-shed asks God to avenge.

You cannot pollute air, water and soil;
You cannot destroy landscapes as you wish;
You cannot raze down mountains and build dams;
Even rivers change courses if need be.

Think well before you act too unkindly;
Beware of your unkind words to neighbors;
Hurting lives cannot endear you to God;
Human beings must be always humane.

Selfishness cannot give satisfaction;
Ego can’t solve problems unsolvable;
Arrogance must pay hefty price in life;
Love alone makes living worthy on earth.

You can be smart in life but not with God;
You cannot outsmart Nature anytime;
You need a brain smart for good decisions;
A smart person takes care of his soul first.
