A Mourn For Josephine Poem by Kevin J. Muricio

A Mourn For Josephine

Rating: 5.0

In her heart I found love
The love that always kill
Had a good heart, my dear Josephine
With her shiny smile;
She was a black beauty
My sweet blackbird

She was a queen;
This I confess
She always killed my heart
Her sight, always melted my heart
Sometimes I wondered
If the love was a worship

She was the one
To now I still believe
She was my heart
Now my blood never flows
She was my soul
But now she's gone!

Oh Josephine!
I always defended her
They said she was evil
But I couldn't see why
They said she was bad
But I couldn't hear it

By me she always stood
She swore never to go away
All the turbulence in the sea;
She said she could stand
And the promise!
She committed to take my hand

For her going I blame her not
The haters and their jealousy!
Seeing us always pained them
Bad words they gave me
So hurting to the bone
But I always endured

Their words made my love grow
Hers grew too
That she gave me her lips
Those of a weaverbird
Nothing was better
Than the saliva of her mouth

Oh Josephine!
To now I still cry
How could her love
Be short-lived like a fly's!
How could she
Fall to their words at last!

Her gifts, I still remember
My hugs, I still can feel them
That I always wish
They happen one more second
She left my heart
So lonely, so blank

Her remains
Her photo and cards
Will always carry me
To the reign so nostalgic
I'll always remember
Although she said I forget

Oh Josephine!
If she never did it
Now we could be on the moon
To her, now am extinct
For she said
'Life's like rain'
