In my arms I would adore you,
As the waves cradle the sea,
In my heart I'd always hold you,
You were more than all to me,
You were more than love can be.
But in life, nothing's forever,
And you did not wish to stay,
Then all sadness came together,
And my heart withered away.
When we love somebody with all intensity of feelings and when that love is reciprocated, it is heaven. But once we lose that love for some reason, it gives a lot of heart ache and a feeling of utter loneliness. A poignant write!

Heart wrenching poem, yet death is the result of living and loving. Life would be totally empty without having life and love to fill our time on earth. Very intense and emotional poem on several levels, knowing this loneliness is what we have left to remember these bittersweet memories of love. Great depth yet simple, thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
