A Gift From Me To You
I am sending you all
a gift for Christmas.
The gift isn’t big at all,
but when it blossoms,
it is the biggest gift of all.
It comes with love and hugs
that are just for you to keep
for a rainy day
to chase the blues away.
You won’t see the gift
as it is invisible to see,
but you will know its there
and everyone will see.
You see the gift
I am giving you for Christmas
is something from the heart.
It is too big
to fit in any box.
The gift is the gift of friendship,
the most precious treasure
I can give,
it comes from a loving heart
for as long as I may live.
So please accept my gift
as it comes from me to you.

I've been listening to a program this morning about 'greening' Christmas. This gift is the perfect 'green' gift - send electronically (saving paper) given with love (financially responsible) and most importantly just what the doctor ordered. It seems to me that the more stuff you own, the needier you are. Whereas the more love and friendship you receive, the more contented you feel.
