A Comeback Poem by Gautam Sen

A Comeback

I just pop up out of a brief gap
of self exile for gasping a little,
once deserting me from
the vision of my readers
just to be able to write again
or keying relevant lexis.

To expose my feelings
in a wreath of words
was found somewhere missing.
I found my thoughts
jumbled and mixed up
within the dark suffocating
mine-walls of my mind.

Not keeping up with the pace,
not being in the track of a race,
where creations never stop,
where no one likes to pause
for a moment, I wanted to look back.
I lay aside with no one by my side,
a dream wavers to incite over yonder,
I wish to be placed back
as renewed and realigned.

Some rest renewed my zest and hope,
I crane me up against a slope of steepness
and find good glimpses of my goal,
bit far off yet reachable.
I find you all there busy with work –
sprinkling your minds' voices with words,
thoughts start again showering
on the arid soil of my mind –
muses become rich to incite me
to express again. So I come back.

Welcome back friend.....I am sure its like home coming for you.... Never leave that pen....or that paper.....just keep writing your deepest pains and pleasures.....just write for yourself and not for someone else.

A wonderful comeback! May rich poetry keep flowing out from you ever! I am a newcomer to this site. I just had a glance through your poems and found them interesting. In course of time I will take time to read and comment on more of them. Meanwhile I would like you to know that I have pasted here a collection of my poems on the well known social worker late Baba Amte. I think you would be interested in knowing more about him and his work. I would like you to kindly go through some of them at your convenience, give your valuable comments and help me spread his universal message.
