A Child Poem by Kai Schultz

A Child

The darkness surrounds us. We are always in its clutches, though we don't always seem to see it.
Many ask, ' What darkness do you speak of? Everyone is always at love like doves',
But I know thats not true.
Darkness is the very air we breath or the very poison we call air.
We see it in the sea, even in the green of the grass.
But there is one place we dont see this darkness, and thats in the place of all goodness

IN a child.

Yes, the only place the darkness doesn't touch is in the soul and heart of a small child
Where the darkness wishes to be.
