A Changing Light Poem by Barry Middleton

A Changing Light

Rating: 5.0

I love the light of afternoon
the gold before the sun must set

the shadows reach out to the east
the end of day brings no regret

the greens are greener than the spring
and yet the fall is drawing near

the air is stirring with the clouds
embracing earth and atmosphere

from where I sit to quietly wait
I know that soon the day will end

content from how the show begins
I take my lessons from the wind

so I will wait and I will watch
for every scene upon this stage

as colors morph in changing light
till day has turned the final page

Light of afternoon before sunset glows more with golden tender rays. We love such light that fills cheerfulness in mind. We see greens look greener than the spring. A great imagery paints mind entirely. An excellent poem is beautifully presented on sunset...10
