A Ceiling Fan (Heart Beats With Nature - Poem By Rini Shibu)

Rating: 5.0

I like the rotation of its lovely wings
Looks as if three beautiful maids
Opaque costume becoming transparent
Thanks for the naught, you naughty blades!
A heart that dances on the beats of nature
Is like a ceiling fan with strong armature.

My good luck! I had desired only one.
My pleasure! Got three naughty dancers!
Thanks for dancing and spreading her hairs
Go ahead I'm in mood of watching bouncers
Dance and disturb what's becoming obstacle
With smile then read my natural oracle!

She will ask, "Why in the holy month of fasting,
Like a ceiling fan you're durable and truly lasting? "

Since I was a child' I could not sleep without a fan. That is still true now; but includes alcohol. I have looked at ceiling fans often; and ascribed their impact to thought. Your description was enlightening and touching. Familiar and special.

A fascinating poem. A witty description of a ceiling fan and a brilliant comparison with the heartbeats of a human being. A great piece.10

A fascinating a original piece, I do not believe anyone has possessed the imaginative alacrity to see a ceiling fan in the way your poetic eye has ingenuously devised. Its interesting how you perceive the fan, never would I have seen something naughty. So glad this was chosen as poem of the day, so that I and everyone else could read it. Wonderful stuff.
