A Cairo Street Poem by Jan Oskar Hansen

A Cairo Street

Rating: 2.8

A Cairo Street

The crack of a rifle shot a man fell to ground,
instantly dead, whatever he was thinking of was
totally eradicated. His friends tried to drag him
away, but a dead body is as inflexible as a bag of
cement. They left him there, on the filthy street,
his open eyes mirrored the terrorized sky.
