23 Fitzroy Road , Poison In Here Ear Poem by DAVID GERARDINO

23 Fitzroy Road , Poison In Here Ear

Rating: 5.0

HE wispers poison in her ears.

SOUNDS like a ghost she thinks,

or a love thats been twisted, and

bent,

HE gives her flowers, and a bottle

of red wine, and a moment of hope,

just a moment, only a moment,

then he stumbles out the door.

HE wispers poison in her ears......

then brakes free.........

Hi David, This sounds a little creepy, not like any love affair (haha) . Very unique, and original. Your use of imagery is good and very expressive. Take care.

David, I like this, its style is very different. The poisonous lies to keep one on a string. Love certainly does twist or gets twisted. Neat poem :) Kim

I like this David. It certainly expresses the cruelty that we are capable of and to dash expectation (as you seem to be saying) is one of the cruelest acts. I was very much impressed by this work and particularly the last line' Many regards, Denis joe
