To write "About Me", assignment # 1, for …
her ‘advanced' herb class teacher,
Aki thought of her youth in postwar Japan …
and the decades since, thus to reach her ….

In the seemingly-"calm" years in Japan, Aki was born in '49.
Her mother & her father had two sons by that post-war time.
At a "nearby shrine", Aki saw white-clad veterans ring bells as they begged,
some missing "parts of their face", and/or limb(s)e.g. arm(s)or leg(s) .
...

As my wife’s hogging (her) computer I cannot send you a message.....
to replace the one I almost sent earlier, before it DID disappear.

If “Caitlyn” Jenner can do it, then so can I.
She’s stopped being “Bruce” …. after sixty years …. of a “lie”.
So now I'LL no longer be, on PH, “Bri”; I’ll be “Mary” …..,
though [unless I shave my arms & legs] I’ll still be “Hairy”.

I guess first step is to ascertain
if it's true what I did once entertain.
I've thrown evidence out,
but did not some cards "shout"
...

Glancing out our western window, toward the Ocean beyond some hills,
I see, near sundown, a layering of assorted clouds, like alternating color spills;
shades of gray this November day, plus white, and some almost resembling amber.
It makes me imagine a playing field over which winged-angels might clamber.
