Will Love To Have Your Hatred And Curse

Rating: 5.0

If YOU are not happy with me
Extending neither any sympathy nor blessings,
I never mind.
If you dump me as a lump
Or else don’t give me any birth further –
That also is fine with me.
But don’t send me as a human again
On this green earth,
Being filled with so much darkness, filth and muck.

I don’t wish to have another human life
To digest so much of pain and strife.
Neither do I desire to gather anymore knowledge
Nor any wisdom towards eternity also.

If at all I am to be sent here
Let me appear on earth
Being a brainless, deaf, dumb and blind
As that of the single cell creature, ‘Amoeba ‘! !

Can YOU please listen to me?
Would YOU do me this favor at least?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem I wrote with a very heavy heart on experiencing the unstoppable deterioration of human values and increasing intolerance and hatred all over the world.

We all feel so heavy at heart seeing how the world we live in has deteriorated! But what use is there, lamenting over things that cannot be changed by one or a few individuals! Despite all that is bad, there is still some beauty in this life and much goodness lingering here. Let us focus on those and try never to add to the misery and wickedness of this world. As a highly sensitive person, you seem to carry all the weight on you! ....Relax..... Let us try in our own little way to be models. Poignant write!

Amitava, I think we are all feeling the effects of isis and evil in the world, it has a tendency to dampen our spirits and makes things look hopeless. It has given all of us good people a heavy heart to see it running so rampantly throughout our world. It amazes me how many people have no heart, compassion or love for others, it boggles my mind. We were created by God equally, how can people think themselves better than others except through evil? We must not lose sight of all the good being done in the world, many people are taking care of the sick, disabled, mentally and physically handicapped. Each of us must take a stand, sharing our love with others, making a difference in even one person's life. In that way good will be spread like wildfire, our examples will ignite that flame of compassion. Keep expressing your heavy heart, because people will learn to discern how to help others through your thoughts and words. You are a great philosopher, Amitava! Never stop writing, you have already made a difference in my life, and I love you for it! Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn

Very heart touching poem. Some time our hearts get heavy. We are enslaved to all that touches and effects us. But tomorrow always comes with a sense of light heartedness. Welcome it with open heart. Cheers and greetings to you.

Many of us have heavy hearts these days. And what adds to the heaviness is the delusion that some kindly deity will hear our cries and come to our aid. And when that doesn't happen, we are perplexed and hurt even more. When will man realize we are in charge of this world and there will be no divine assistance? We alone are responsible for whatever happens. Cursing or hating a god is all done in vain. Just realize it will take a change in the heart of man to change things in this world. And we must deal with things as best we can. And we must also realize that there is not a god who hates us or curses us. This is simply life happening. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. All we can do is be good to each other and help each other. I feel the frustration and helplessness in your poem, Amitava. We all feel it at times. The amoebas and other dumb animals seem to be the lucky ones. Our curse is being aware of our existence, our mortality, and the circumstances around us. Ignorance is bliss, as they say. But we are aware, of everything, and we must deal with it. We must each find our own way, but it usually involves other people to help us get through this life. I hope you find your way. A wonderful poem, touching on truth and reality.
