Where Are You? Poem by angela mann

Where Are You?

When i woke this morning
And went down stairs,
Where were you?
You were not there.

I washed and dressed
And had breakfast.
Where were you?
You were not there.

I caught the bus
And went to work.
Where were you?
You were not there.

I arrived home
From a busy day.
Where were you?
You were not there.

I passed the night
By reading a book.
Where were you?
You were not there.

I retired to bed
And in my dreams
Where were you?
Yes, you were there.
