We Should Be Glad Poem by Edwin Tanguma

We Should Be Glad

We Should Be Glad

I best get back
From whence I came
An unknown poet
Without a name

There was a time
We were as one
You and I had wit
And so much fun

I hope that you
Are doing well
Without sunny black
And all its hell

It could be worse
Or some might say
There's a thing called crack
That is quite grey

I do not know
Which one is worse
I'll not choose either
They're both a curse

We have what we
Have always had
All which was and were
We should be glad
