We Change Our Minds (From Birth) Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

We Change Our Minds (From Birth)

I wanted it to mean when I said it.
However,
I meant it when I showed it done.
I am like everyone.
To say and mean one thing.
But something else unexpected comes.

People aren't born to remain,
Unchanged to stay the same.
We change our minds.
And...
All the time.

From birth.
And what we do,
From birth.
Is done with our minds.
From birth.
We are people of changes.
From birth.
No one born will remain the same.
From birth.
We are people of changes.
From birth.
And these changes are hard to define.
From birth.
And these changes are hard to define.
From birth.
And if we could.
From birth.
This we would.
From birth!
