Tomorrow Poem by Humphrey Bryant

Tomorrow

They say we live
Like there is no tomorrow
They say tomorrow never comes
They say tomorrow keeps running
Like a madman chasing a moving vehicle.

I heard them
Say tomorrow will be better
"It brings good fortune
Better than yesterday
Who turned her back on us."

He said
"Tomorrow is an infant -
An infant
Reminiscing his sojourn in the womb",
My grandfather.

Tomorrow must be a celebrity
To have heard so much about her
But till then
I'll be faithful to my today.
