Together Forever Poem by Maureen Alikor

Together Forever

Alone.
It may be boring.
Alone.
It may be tiring.
Alone.
You might turn around,
and quit.

Together,
We can help each other.
Together,
we won't bore each other.

All we need is a hand to hold,
a shoulder to lean on,
an ear to always listen,
a soothing voice to always allay; our fears and worries.

Will you hold my hand?
The journey maybe long;
but with you,
the distance can be covered.

With you,
I'd rather walk;
than fly.
why?
'Cos your company is cherished.
Yes, it is highly treasured.

You are what I dreamt of,
you are the visible entity;
that appeared while I slept.

Our hands entwined,
fixated in between the fingers,
firmly but mildly holding on,
we shall walk this walk,
together.

Together we will blossom.
Just me and you,
hand in hand.
Hearts beating as one.
