The Reality Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

A defiant stand is a choice we all make
At one time or another when traitors take
Our valued rights, and freedom's promise-
When forces provoke us with Hate, Malice.

It takes all things human in us to counter
That intimidation by those who use terror
To inflict in our lands virulent conflict,
This fight drew the line, though it seems quixotic.

So I draw my own sword and it will strike down deep
Cutting through the masks and the veils they keep.
The world is not deaf, not all people are blind-
Not all are cowards, brave men we still find.

There are those who won't cower, not afraid to die.
Who won't blink before Death but look him in the eye.
Because Evil has taken this Earth with its minions,
It is time to settle this.... with their destruction.

Deception has danced here dressed in Religion,
Pretends to fight causes, per 'God's instruction.'
The reality is the Lust and their Greed for Power-
They're not freedom fighters, they are simply killers.
