The Crazy Woman

I shall not sing a May song.
A May song should be gay.
I'll wait until November
And sing a song of gray.

I'll wait until November
That is the time for me.
I'll go out in the frosty dark
And sing most terribly.

And all the little people
Will stare at me and say,
"That is the Crazy Woman
Who would not sing in May."

This *" Crazy Woman" must have been quite remarkable to make the top 500.
Sorry Gwendolyn you felt you had to wait till dark.
The world is slowly changing where we can be who we want to be. Sing to feel alive. May you rest in Peace.

WHY must she be oft a crazy woman who sings the song of gray and in November? WHY-WHY-WHY? A sane woman can and dare to sing this song of November full of gray, not only The crazy woman. To the family of the late poetess CONGRATULATIONS on being chosen as The Modern Poem Of The Day. Hooray! God Blesses You All.
