The Bitter Seeds Poem by Madrason .

The Bitter Seeds

The farmer keeps his dignity
and while the world is
dimmed in dammed
opportunity
he keeps
his steady pace
he saws his seeds
in all his grace
and knows his place
the cars are rolling
unannounced
they greet the gravel
to his door
and ask for more
modernities
while ministers are
recalling from memory
we need more
bio-industry
the farmer shakes it's head
and pays
but not willingly
a fee for
animal cruelty
but all I see
are green fat fields
and cows full-grown
with peaceful faces
a bent and stubborn
old but not to foolish
man against a tide
wave of in-humanity.
