That Some Thirsty Soul May Drink Poem by Howard The Motivational Poet Simon

That Some Thirsty Soul May Drink

Rating: 4.7

When your heart is empty and fingers are tired
When the blood of creativity stops flowing
When your mind is a desert with no oasis
When your see a rainbow and cannot describe it
When you hear birds singing but you can't capture it
Dig deep in the tunnel of your soul and let go
Let go of the lofty and pulchritudinous
Let go of the symmetrical and the sublime
And from the dusty dungeon of your parched estate
Pen the raw rabid reality of living
Helping the next one in the desert find water

We all go through this phase, where reality clashes with our imaginations. A writers block where nothing matters when emotions are drained and nothing catches our fancy to write it down.... but out of blue something catches our fancy and our emotions start penning down all over again. Beautiful poem..10+++ for this thought.

This is a beautiful poem, very inspiring. 'Dig deep in the tunnel of your soul and let go Let go of the lofty and pulchritudinous Let go of the symmetrical and the sublime' - loved these nice, exhortatory lines.

I think this is the noblest thing we can do in life! We may not be able to undertake herculean tasks, but all of us can do little acts of kindness and help people make their escape easy from the dark tunnels of life. Excellent write.... inspirational and thought provoking! A sure 10

'Pen the raw rabid reality of living Helping the next one in the desert find water'...................! As poets this is what we are supposed to do! Many stand dazed before the rabid realities of life. Help them find water in the desert.

Excellent write. It has everything. A title that drew me right to its flame, right to its oasis. The message was full of shimmery light and not at all heavy and tedious with the weight of its worthiness! And I love the word choices you make and especially that one out of the ordinary word you pick out for most every poem you write that puts the mind in swoop and hover mode! Gorgeous 10+++++++++++ and on my fav list
