Solitude - Ii Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Solitude - Ii

Were I to breathe in this world nigh easy
And easier still in my solitude,
Such that my opinion on me sounds good,
No more I muse on how world feels ‘bout me.
Still, to feel good in this world's vainest crowd,
With an island like poise, no dependence,
Cosy In my soul's solitude at once,
I aught feel fair sans any masking shroud.
An if true solitude, silent as light
Enlightens like a pole star so steady,
All thru life's long and arduous journey,
A best of friend it be, bliss be or blight.
Still, till ego stops scoring a self-goal,
There seldom is true solitude of soul.
