Seed Of Revenge Poem by Oduro Bright Amoh

Seed Of Revenge

In the deep bosom of my broken heart
A certain darkness was planted
As the tear drops of misery and pain fell upon its place,
A certain melancholy seed breathed its last in the soil of despair.
Then sprouted vengeance, that scheming bud
Green with verdant anger and scorn.
Night after night for four nights
The rain of pain and disdain drenched the sordid earth
And bade the new bud a new life, a new strength to conquer,
To tear you apart, the gardener whose foul seed germinates
And exhibits promise of becoming unto you the tree of evil
Yet, time, the sunshine that shines plants to despair
Slowly burned the seedling into dryness
Till I could no more but nip the seedling in the bud
With the shears of forgiveness.
