Pielea mea s-a făcut transparentă
ca apa. Văd prin carne oasele mele subțiri
mlădioase ca lemnul de sînger. Îmi văd scheletul
Văd mineralele pure. Calciu. Fosfor
Fier și magneziu. Argintul din glesne
Peste un secol
voi fi un nor de atomi. Liberi de suflet
Liberi de sens
Domine. Tată. Vreau
niciodată să nu mai am trup. Niciodată
suflare de viață
Nu trup de om. Nu destin de femeie. Nimic
Doar nimic.
Un nimic ce nu-și amintește. Fără durere
Domine. Un nimic în nimicul căderii

THE MORNING PRAYER
I' be bet on poems. I've bet
on clever scholarly books
I've bet on dozens of other nonsense paper. To no end
I wanted to have a child. And no man
let the fruit of his seed grow in me
I' be bet on love. No man
wanted me as a woman
(maybe sister mother housemaid
maybe seaweed maybe dusting cloth)
I' ve bet on some warm things of life. In vain
Always in vain
Now I bet on nothing. I don't care anymore
In my fish scales I stand like a steel sword
I am free: I have no soul. Not a hope
The nothingness grows. The sand grows
The light increases. My skin became transparent
like the water. I see through flesh my thin bones
graceful as the whippletree. I see my skeleton
I see the pure minerals. Calcium. Phosphorus
Iron and magnesium. The silver from the ankles
Over a century
I will be a cloud of atoms. Free of soul
Free of meaning
Domine. Father. I want
never again to have a body. Never
a breath of life
Not a human body. Not a woman's destiny. Nothing
Just nothing.
A nothing that cannot remember. Without pain
Domine. A nothing in the nothingness of the fall.
