Reflection Poem by Aaron Weaver

Reflection

Rating: 5.0

Who can hide innocence in the ways of the world? An experience in a jungle of cackling and hunters and prey? Where do I hide? Where can I sleep? who can I trust, where is their surety. Where is my herd why should I hunt with them and all they do is eat the meat of it's ilk and drink the wine of their own souls, the innocence must be lost in the adaptation of jungle. Is this necessary for survival? What are the costs of too keep something so precious? I drink from the river only to once look into my own reflection and see my un-experiences in my own eyes through the reflection of the water. Innocence must be kept though for survival I must eat as all the other wild for survival. My innocence can only last as long as i wished to live.
