Quiet Girl
I would liken you
To a night without stars
Were it not for your eyes.
I would liken you
To a sleep without dreams
Were it not for your songs.
Wow! This may be one of the most incisive poems I've ever read about a woman. The unnoticed or undiscovered trait that makes a man turn and take a second look is the basis of this beautiful tribute to some quiet beauty. LH has contributed much that I have completely enjoyed, but this poem swept me off my feet. Another triumph in such a small package.
A girl with such a demeanor which consists of a hundred expressions in a split second. Thanks. I would like to translate this lovely poem into Hindi.
