Poetry Consoles Poem by Sandra Feldman

Poetry Consoles

Rating: 5.0

Poems are made of inner grace,
Of tears, of sighs, of feeling,
Of dreams once dreamt to no avail,
Of Loves that were appealing.

Poems are made of inner veils,
That cannot hide deep feelings,
They synthesize, all that is wise,
Console us, help heart's healing.

i'm clicking on all of your poems that deal with poetry. It has been a stirring endorsement of the Poetic Life. Octavio Paz once said the purpose of writing poems is to turn yourself into a living poem. And I can see the results of that transformation in this very poem. You show poems are made up of components of our human nature: inner grace, tears, sighs, loves, et al. Who can tell the poem and the person apart from each other? They are ONE. We create the poems which then re-create us. And on it goes! This is a wonderful poem.

You have wrapped it up in just two stanzas. Wonderful piece.

They soothe and heal the dreams that were appealing without a doubt. On top of that would you also agree that they can even be an appeal to those dreams that still survive? Keeping a hope alive and even showing the world or a person your dedication in whatever manner is suited? I love it Sandra and poetry truly is a way to exercise all hurts and dreams. Beautiful piece. :)
