Pine Cone Poem by Jonathan Heads

Pine Cone

One day i'm there, another i'm not
I thought I saw a happy day, the
mountains far away, I was given a pine
cone, nothing more than a simple act
yet attached with warmth, fun and far in
tact.

The clear night air aloud and fresh, a
moment with warmth, strong in breath,
could this now be, forever more..
it seemed like it..the stuff of dreams,
her love was once my
effervescent stream, a fluttering
moment, a flutter a beat,
today cold lights, with out her warmth
the memory is just a street, the
snowy lane; frosty and steep,
warmth, really mist lined with sleet.

Up and away, blue sky today though
with shades of grey, with just my pine
cone, memories fading away,
I wish you were here kochanie moje.
